Our Retreat Venue
In early 2025, Bioculture found its permanent home.
After hosting retreats throughout Sayulita, San Pancho and Tulum Mexico and Costa Rica since our founding in late 2023, we bought Maestro Valley—an off-grid wellness sanctuary overlooking Lake Atitlán—to create a place intentionally designed for holistic health, creativity, community, and transformation.
After restoring and developing the property, we welcomed our first Bioculture retreat here in October 2025.
Today, Maestro Valley serves as the primary home for Bioculture retreats in Guatemala while also welcoming wellness workshops, creator gatherings, private guest stays, and immersive experiences throughout the year.
This isn’t simply where we host retreats.
This is home.

Our Story
Bioculture was founded in late 2023 with a vision of bringing together creators, entrepreneurs, holistic health practitioners, and curious humans through immersive retreat experiences.
Our first retreats were hosted in beautiful villas throughout Sayulita, Mexico before expanding into Guatemala.
Every retreat reinforced one idea: Environment changes people.
As the community grew, so did our vision. Rather than continuing to rent temporary venues, we wanted to create a permanent sanctuary intentionally designed around human health, nature, movement, education, creativity, and meaningful community.
In early 2025, that vision became reality with the purchase of Maestro Valley. Following months of thoughtful restoration and development, we hosted our first Bioculture retreat here in October 2025.
Today, Maestro Valley is the heart of Bioculture, hosting our signature retreats while also opening its doors to wellness travelers, workshops, facilitator trainings, private stays, creator residencies, and collaborative gatherings throughout the year.
Owning the venue allows every experience to become more intentional, more immersive, and more aligned with everything Bioculture stands for.
Why Maestro Valley
Most retreat venues are hotels that occasionally host wellness experiences.
Maestro Valley was created differently.
Every part of the property is designed to support healthier living, deeper connection, creativity, movement, and restoration.
Rather than separating people from nature, the sanctuary brings them back into relationship with it.
From sunrise over the volcanoes to evenings around the fire, the environment itself becomes part of the experience.

Signature Spaces

Fresh, nourishing meals prepared with intention using whole ingredients that support energy, vitality, and connection.
Train surrounded by volcanoes and fresh mountain air with our outdoor calisthenics gym designed for strength, mobility, and natural movement.

A space for deep recovery, reflection, and restoration through traditional heat therapy and ceremony.

One of the most unique spaces on the property, designed for breathwork, meditation, movement, music, workshops, and immersive group experiences.

Walk through living gardens, fruit trees, and regenerative landscapes that reflect our belief that healthy people begin with healthy ecosystems.

Open circles and shared rooms for conversation, masterminds, music, and the everyday community that forms between practices.
Stay With Us
Rather than identical hotel rooms, every accommodation offers its own personality while remaining deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.
Quiet, comfortable cabins surrounded by nature with queen beds and beautiful views, suited for solo travelers or couples.
Iconic geometric accommodations designed for a unique stay immersed in nature and the Bioculture experience.
Comfortable shared accommodations that encourage friendship, conversation, and community throughout each retreat.
More Than Retreats
Maestro Valley is home to much more than our signature Bioculture retreats. Throughout the year we also host:
Whether you’re joining a retreat, attending a workshop, collaborating with our community, or simply staying for a few nights, Maestro Valley offers an environment intentionally designed to support a healthier way of living.
Location
Maestro Valley sits above San Marcos La Laguna, surrounded by volcanoes, forests, hiking trails, and one of the most breathtaking lakes in the world.
Close enough to explore the town, yet secluded enough to fully disconnect, the sanctuary creates a rare balance between accessibility and complete immersion in nature.
